it's been a long journey here. when hannah and i were in the 4th grade we used a site called webs to make a ridiculous amount of websites that thankfully, are no longer active on the internet. from there we graduated to middle school and the world of weebly where we both independently ran our own sites. hannah had an iconic fashion and style blog, and i had a book blog and a beauty blog. in 2017 we combined our powers to create Little Egg and Carrot, a lifestyle blog that started out very sophisticated and trendy, but quickly evolved into a quirky, wild, and absurdly weird place on the internet (proof here, our most iconic blog post). we decided that to truly capture the essence of the things we wanted to create, we needed to rebrand with a new name and a new site, and thus outrageous by us was born.
now, instead of embracing what was trendy and palatable to an internet audience, we've decided to do whatever we want, without care of how many people read, or don't read it. hannah and i are strange, and because we're best friends we know the odd, wacky, and misunderstood aspects of each other. but its awesome to have a safe place to totally be yourself and have someone that not only supports your outrageous oddities, but brings them out in you and encourages it. on outrageous by us we're doing just that. taking the misunderstood and silly things in life that make us happy and make us feel authentic and celebrating them.

we use the phrase 'icons only' a lot, and we want you to know that if you're here and reading this, you are most definitely an icon and are most definitely welcome. being an icon means you have the confidence and boldness to embrace the odd and ugly things that you love, even though others may disagree. icons don't put people down for looking tacky or acting strange, we build each other up even if we're wearing bright blue rainboots and fake gucci bedazzled glasses. being an icon is both a look and a lifestyle, and its what we're all about here.
life is ass and we know that. but life can also be wacky, iconic, and colorful if you celebrate the good things. our journeys have been long, and sometimes dramatic ones, but we've been able to find a sense of peace and belonging in our online community and the content we've created. we hope some of that peace and joy will rub off on you as you read our stuff. there is always more and exciting things to come, and we hope that you stick around to embrace and celebrate your iconic self.
